Maths Tutor
I have a first-class honours degree in mathematics and a PGCE in secondary mathematics teaching. I have attended many teacher training sessions including how to support SEN within the mathematics classroom.
During my 12 years of teaching in secondary schools I have taught a wide range of abilities and all year groups from year 7 to year 13. For the last 6 years, when working in a school, I was KS5 maths coordinator and from this experience I can confidently teach A-level mathematics and further mathematics as well as having a great understanding of what to expect in the A-level exams.
I have absolutely loved teaching so far; my favourite part being able to help students develop through their school years and watching them grow into confident young adults. The most important part of my job is to make sure that my students feel supported and can learn in a secure, positive environment to enjoy their education and challenge themselves.
During my free time, I love to go on long woodland walks with my family and our many dogs. I am quite a competitive person so I do enjoy family games and puzzles.
